Who We Are
What is Campus Crusade?
Campus Crusade at the University of Florida is an interdenominational campus ministry made up of students seeking to know Jesus and serve Him on the campus. We are a student-led and staff-guided movement, meaning that students are the primary vehicle through which we do ministry.
We invite and highly encourage everyone to try one of our Community Groups. They are where the rubber meets the road in our ministry. They are places of great community, service, and study of the Bible. There are men's and women's groups where you will get to know 5-10 other students and be involved in their lives. For freshmen we have Real-Life Groups that are a great place to meet other students who are also new to campus. These groups are led by older students and are a great way to get connected with the ministry!

On Thursday evenings from 8:30 to 10:00, all students are invited to Cru, the weekly meeting of Campus Crusade. Cru is a no-pressure time to come together to praise God through song, prayer, and the words of the night's speaker.
Who is Campus Crusade for Christ International?
Campus Crusade for Christ, is an interdenominational ministry committed to helping take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. We cooperate with millions of Christians from churches of many denominations and hundreds of other Christian organizations around the world to help Christians grow in their faith and share the Gospel message with their fellow countrymen.
Working together with these fellow believers, our goal is to help give every man, woman, and child in the entire world an opportunity to find new life in Jesus Christ. Our commitment is based on our Lord's command: All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:18-20 (NAS). Our desire is to serve you!

History and Background of Campus Crusade
While the UF Chapter of Campus Crusade for Christ has been active for more than 20 years, it is part of a much larger organization. How it all started: Campus Crusade for Christ is an interdenominational Christian organization that was started in 1951 by Bill and Vonette Bright. It originally was a Christian outreach on the campus of UCLA. The Bright's premise was: if you can impact university students, you can change the world. As CCC began to grow, it eventually spread to other college campuses.
Where it's at now: Campus Crusade for Christ is now active on most major college campuses in the US and overseas as well. Click to find other campus locations. It has also expanded beyond the college campuses to include over 60 different ministries including Athletes in Action, Student Venture (for highschool students), the Military Ministry, Family Life, and Christian Embassy in Washington D.C.
